I love to help people understand and overcome their problems and have worked with a very broad group of people over the years. I am grateful to have learned from clients with a huge diversity of age, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, neurodiversity and many other differences. I hope to bring a safe and non-judgmental space for any client.
I started training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in 2008 and have worked as a therapist, supervisor and trainer in the NHS. I love CBT but am widely read across many therapy approaches and have trained in Interpersonal Therapy, Mindfulness, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and most recently Schema Therapy.
As a therapist I aspire to meet your needs as best I can, and seek regular feedback about our work to ensure we’re on track. The therapies I am trained in give the therapist an active role in the work, offering solutions and ideas when that’s helpful. At the same time I appreciate that there are times when we really just need to be heard and given the space to work things out for ourselves, so I endeavour to offer flexibility.
As well as a therapist I am a father, partner, musician and lover of the outdoors.
